Gugulipid is a standardized extract prepared from the oleogum resin (gum resin) of Commiphora mukul, an Indian medicinal tree that has been clinically proven to reduce the levels of harmful serum lipids in the bloodstream. The active ingredients responsible for the maintenance of healthy cholesterol levels are the guggulsterones, specifically guggulsterone E and guggulsterone Z.
